Following Manchester City's 1-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup final, Rodri stated that he is not preoccupied with contract talks at the moment.

When asked about his contract status, Rodri replied, "I'm calm. Honestly, I don't think much about my future right now because there is another priority."

He continued, "I only think about my club ending the season with the most titles possible – we have the chance to lift the Premier League – and then the World Cup."
